To celebrate Warwick Employment Group’s achievements over the last year, all staff members were invited to attend our annual Christmas conference, meal and awards ceremony at Radcliffe. We were thrilled to bring everyone together from across the business and celebrate our individual and team successes.
In 2019, Unitemps continued to grow and recently opened its new office in Oxford, with more scheduled to open in 2020. Another record-breaking year for the team saw Unitemps fill their one-millionth job and pay students more than £30m in wages across the network. What’s more, two new universities joined the Unitemps network this year; Liverpool John Moores University in the North East and the University of Edinburgh – our first Scottish franchise.
jobs.ac.uk and college.jobs.ac.uk have attracted over seven million users throughout 2019 and advertised over 78,229 jobs. This year jobs.ac.uk launched a brand new careers advice section providing jobseekers with informative content, from CV advice through to interview tips and related resources. SearchHigher has also enjoyed an excellent year, having expanded its client base by another 30% and aiming to double the team size over the course of the next 12 months.
The conference was also a fantastic opportunity to recognise individual contributions across Warwick Employment Group.

Paul Brewster, Director of Warwick Employment Group, commented:
‘It has been an outstanding year for Warwick Employment Group and all businesses have performed well. We have enjoyed maximising the opportunity to collaborate with WCG, one of the UK’s largest college groups, to develop and launch WEG21; an innovative, modular staffing platform. Our mission for WEG21 has a dual-focus, we aim to support colleges and their employees with a new commercial enterprise platform and equip students with essential workplace skills and experience.
We are equally pleased to announce the release of WEG Payroll Bureau; our fully managed payrolling solution for universities. With many years of experience supporting the sector, we are delighted to add the Bureau to our line of services as we continue to enhance our offering for customers. Following a successful year, I’m very much looking forward to the future and seeing what we can achieve in 2020!’
